ok I've just gone out and found a shop near norwich that was fairly good (as I needed the pc quick and on finiance) I know I probably could have saved a few quid buying stuff on the net, but dut to the finance side of things, time(finance on the internet is a pain) and collecting the kit, and also if anything goes wrong I can whip down there!

the parts we're changed everso slightly as some bits weren't in stock/don't stock... but here's the kit.

Antec NSK4400 mini tower case 380W PSU
Intel Core 2 DUO E6400 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.13GHz
2GB DDR2 PC5300 crucial ram
250GB Samsung sata-300 7200RPM 8mb cache
Gigabyte GA-965P S3 (socket 775) mobo
BFG Geforce 7900GT OC 512MB DDR3 Tv-out/dual DVI PCI -E overclocked from the box
Windows XP home licence and cd etc
Pioneer 111D DVDR black
and an Epson DX4000 printer

this will all connect to my AV equipment at home, so my monitor is going to be my Pioneer PDP436XDE plasma.

I'll take some piccies when its finished and with it connected to the telly.

Big thank you to those who helped choose the kit, you swines helped me spend the easiest £1000 this month!

Cheers, Martyn

cheers for your help mate, to be honest prob wouldn't have had a clue, my brain was fried for the last few days.

All I've got to do now is build the bloody thing! Hope I've done the right thing thats all for the money!

i did convince her!

She did say why should she pay for some of it as she'donly be using half of it like the word processing, internet and email..................................

my response was............

thats ok if thats your half, I'll have the gaming half and she can have £500 worth or word processing/email and internet!

but yes she's pretty cool with paying for half of it, which is very nice :)

i think she wants to geta new car first so you'll have to wait a bit on that one! just got a new clio about 6 months ago but wants something a bit more powerfull. strangely enough she's got a few options that are quite different. eithera clio again, but the 3ltr v6, a scooby, golf R32 or an audi tt. However I have told her the that the audi tt is a hairdressers car (apologies if you have one!) so my decisions are either the scooby or the 3ltr v6 however 2 seats are a little impracticle
