That book..........

I don't really understand how it has become so popular. It is supposed to be rather badly written, studded with not exactly 'mainstream' soft core passages and there is an absolute ton of erotica out there for free for ereaders already.

My guess is that it started as Twilight fan fiction and so all the drooling Meyer fans have dived in.

Anyone have any ideas?
 
Everyone is talking about it, so people are buying it to see what the fuss is about, girls are gossiping about it which I guess is what they love to do. :)
 
don't know don't care, all I know of it my wife started reading the first one, and since then i've been constantly molested. absolutely brilliant series
 
I read something like 20% of it a couple of weeks ago. It is atrociously written. No real raunch yet. Not sure if I can be arsed to read any more.

lol, they think there will be a baby boom because of it too!

I bought it my misses because she had seen so many people saying its good, shes half way through and still saying it's not very good.

I think it's just been a trend and some people are just saying its good to fit in with others.
 
I was instructed to order this for Her the other day - we shall see how it goes re: molestation :p

(ironically, she gets funny with me for watching Game of Thrones because "its like a porn film" but it's ok for her to read stuff like this :rolleyes:)
 
My wife has just read the first two back-to-back inside a week... and nearly every woman on the train I've has their head buried in the darn thing.. It kind of reminds me of young boys sneaking at the top shelf because they can..
 
The wife mentioned this to me yesterday, saying that she ought to get it and read it "because everyone else is" because she feels left out, not getting reference etc. made in work.

Funny how the sheep mentality takes over, tbh, as she openly admits that she knows she won't like it one bit.

My girlfriend has read all three books. She tells me it's badly written, most of its erotic porn that repeats itself in nearly every chapter. She say she doesn't enjoy the series and only read all of it because she's OCD about leaving series with an incomplete ending. Plus, she got all the books for free - and glad she didn't pay for it.

From what I gathered, it's about a rich man who is interviewed by a female journalist. They're attracted to each other and go out on a date. She goes back to his - but before he sticks it in her, he makes her sign a waiver because he likes to use toys and other weird paraphernalia and it continues from there...
