Did anyone ever order any of that?

I rarely buy stuff from the bay, but 80 "grade A" beans for £8 just seems strangely cheap.

Just wondering if anyone had actually bought any and if so, where they any good? :D

I refuse to pay £4.80 for a god-damned single bean in the supermarket! :D

Cool, I think i'll go and place an order! :D

They should last a good few months if I vacuum seal them too! (touch wood)

Hmm, will let you know what mine are like when they arrive!

I've ordered 80 and for the price I paid, that would have netted me a massive "2" from my local supermarket lol

Going to order a few of these, how long will they last vacume packed? can you freeze them or will this destroy them?

MMMMMM.fresh vanilla in your Hot chocky with mallows!

From what i've read, you shouldn't refrigerate or freeze them. Kept sealed (either vacuum or in a container) they should last around 6-9 months, maybe more!

Apparently you should let them "air" every 2-3 weeks (just take them out of their sealed container for 10 mins or so, then re-seal).

Received them - man they have stunk my flat out haha! (despite arriving vacuum packed!)

They're smaller than I imagined, but the proof is in the pudding is in the eating - so I'll try them in some creme brulees this weekend and see how they turn out!

Other than the hot chocolate and ice cream what else can you put vanilla in?
I have some I bought in Kerala and it will probably go off before I use it.

I've made a fair amount of Crème brûlées with mine (which is essentially just cooked custard).

Could also try things like vanilla mashed potatoes - that seems to be the "in" thing at the moment... just don't overdo it on the vanilla! :D
