Have you ever felt something has been that good that when you think about it or see pictures or whatever that you actually feel sick? Or when something is REALLY good you actually feel like you are going to be sick (and sometimes dry heave)

Is that where the expression comes from "thats sick" Never really thought where the expression came from until now

Why do you feel it?

Nope

However.. if I hear a song that I realy realy like it can make the hairs stand up on my arms and the back of my neck :p

yeh, amplify that by about 1000. Your whole body gets it and you cant really stand

I have never had that feeling. :p

I imagine the term "sick" (meaning "good") comes from people wanting to have some form of rebellion from Standard English, it also sounds quite good. Adding the uncertainty (by having no clear difference between "sick" meaning bad, and "sick" meaning good) could be done on purpose to ensure that people have to understand the thing that is being referred to (i.e. are "cool") to be able to agree or comment further without fear of embarrassment, or getting it wrong.

Just ideas though, Urban Dictionary returned nothing useful as to the etymology.

e.g playing someone at poker u have pocket 6's he has pocket 5's... flop comes something like J 5 6, u raise big he calls... turn comes, its a 5... u raise big with a fullhouse... he goes all in...

river comes and its something like a 8... he turns over his quad 5's... i think that is pretty sick and fits your description ;)
