That time of year. John Lewis Ad 2021

They're selling a feeling though aren't they - to associate themselves with a warm fuzzy glow so we'll head to John Lewis to do our Christmas shopping as that's where the warm fuzzy is. Or something.

Oh and in before someone decides it's "woke propaganda" as the illegal immigrant looks non binary :cry:

That Christmas feeling hasn't been there for decades though has it. Reality is we are all working our knuckles to the bone and if we are lucky we get to go home early on Christmas Eve.

Also reality is spamming part alert apps and forums trying to find stock of consoles and GPU's.

It used to be so easy. Walk into a shop, put a pre order in and sit back and relax :p.

I think that's precisely why they do it though - people are searching for the warm fuzzy feeling they remember from childhood because of the grimness of reality, especially in the last couple of years.

You are all missing the point here. John Lewis have got this wrong YET AGAIN!!

Heaven forbid they should have had a black non-binary technologically superior alien. Nooooo, they had to make the alien white and the family black didn't they.

To be fair this 2minute JL ad has been better than the entirety of the last few series of Doctor Who.
