Put down a deposit on a car yesterday, started out with all the excitement but I've slowly realised I've just overpaid massively simply because the first one I saw was a complete shed so I've leapt at a half-decent one. The car was about £500 overpriced to begin with thinking about it and I only got it knocked down £150 :(

Taken a shine off it really, because I was like a schoolkid in a sweetshop at first - anyone else get this feeling much? I have to say of all the cars I've bought, I've only not felt this concern when buying a clearly mint condition one.

Thread is useless unless telling us what car it is!

The coolant is suspicously bang-on minimum, the front tyres are shagged and the rear electric windows don't work.

The point isn't so much the money - while £1650 is the most I've ever spent on a car I'm well aware its not that much if the whole % of value aspect is taken away - as the way its gone from total excitement (its a red V6 Alfa!!! ) to worry so quickly and I was curious if anyone else has the same terrible habits of over-excitable decision making and constant worrying.
