For the past 10days my GTX 260 has been playing funny buggers in COD:WaW. It will paly anyother game perfectly, just not WaW. Cod will boot up, get into game and theres all funky messed up graphics, likes shattered glass...temps are fine.

Idles at 41-46 C
load it peaks at 78 C (under Furmark)

Its sat in a Coolermaster HAF 932, so cooling is defo not the issue! My PSU is 680W, BUT its a MARK II Type-R from Hiper...its rock solid...

Thing is it runs all ebnchies fine, just ocasionaly doesnt work in COD, but if i exit, boot another game up, then go back into COD its fine...

To say the least im confused.

OS - Windows 7 BETA
Drivers - Latest with 7

I cant try it under Vista 64bit as its naffed, needs a re-install on that drive, but leaving that untill next week.

So...can you help?

Is the card overclocked ?

What temps are you monitoring ?

I had exactly the same problem and it was the VRM (?) temps - and only the artifacting in COD W@W

Erm...Card temps?

No idea, ask Speedfan that is what picked my temps up...

No card is NOT OC'd...just a Palit GTX 260 '216' got it for £190 couple weeks back from OCUK...

Wierd thing is it NEVER did anything like this under Vista..
