The £27k PC?

27K isn't really that much - unless you are trying to support a family or paying rent in the south even someone on NMW could stick it on finance.

Considering how many 8 Pack systems they push out the door every week it doesn't surprise me they've gone for something even more expensive for the big whales.

I don't know how I've coped without this for so long...it's a must buy, you know, when the lottery win drops. Triple SLI Titans ... holy moly that'll kick some pixels!

27k is that much, it's a lot of money no debate about that. And even more of a lot of money on a computer. It really is a lot of money.

It's a lot considering in 5 years its going to be low end and thus worth significantly less.

I'd rather take the £27k and invest in a classic car or some gold :p.

Plus is it worth 27k. Not really no. Theres about 11-12k in bare parts. There's about 2k in the basic watercooling parts. Leaving 13-14k just for the custom case and the acrylics, cables, etc.

Could buy yourself a CNC for that and custom cut them all out yourself :p.

If ya think it looks expensive then its probably not aimed at your self, you could go into most hobbies and look at the high end and think it looks a bit pricey, some people many thousands of pounds on a set of golf clubs or a peddle bike, where as most of us would just settle for a bargain :)

Yeah - it's why I tend to buy a little behind the high end when I buy PC hardware as for the most part you about the same useful performance lifespan at a lot lower cost.

We sold one of these this month at 28k plus VAT so just over 33.5k was paid by the customer!
i'd assume that would be a business customer who'll be claiming the vat back. can't imagine there are too many 'ordinary joes' buying one for their man cave?

These systems sell for the same reason why some people buy a Ferrari over a Fiat, an AMG over the bog standard C-Class, a Rolls Royce over a BMW 5-Series. Some people appreciate skilled workmanship and a premium finished product.
