Little background:

After building my first computer of sorry state comprising of cheapy auction site PSU and case, I decided it was time to start upping the ante.

Starting spec:
Cheapy PSU
Cheapy Case
AMD Phenom II X3 710 (best chip ever, locked 4th core and OC'd to almost 4GHz under water)
Gigabyte something or other mobo
3GB of mixed DDR2
WD 500GB HDD
LG DVD RW
Stock cooler

Most of this died in a horrible fireball called my bonfire.

I then "upgraded" to the following

Cheapy PSU -- Corsair HX620w
Cheapy Case -- Xigmatek Asgard II case
AMD Phenom II X3 710 (best chip ever, locked 4th core and OC'd to almost 4GHz under water)
Gigabyte something or other mobo
3GB of mixed DDR2
Onboard GPU -- Sapphire HD4830 512mb
WD 500GB HDD
LG DVD RW
Stock cooler -- Arctic cooling Freezer 7 pro rev 2

Lasted a few months from June to August, then the bug bit.

Start with 4GB of Kingston DDR3 and an MSI 990FXA motherboard. The board was a nail, so sent it back.
Having the DDR3 RAM then pushed me to buy Intel.
Started with an Asus P8P67 Pro motherboard and followed by an i5-2500k.

It then looked like this

Temps then started rising with the limited space, so decided another upgrade was needed.

I then bought the following:
Corsair Carbide 500R
Corsair TX650m
Sapphire HD6950 (with dual BIOS for 6970 flash)
1TB HDD
MOAR FANS

And this is how it stands today

Future plans are to watercool it, its slowly driving me mad with the whiring of fans.
Going to wait until the shows are over before commiting to any purchases as you always get some awesome deals there.

C+C welcome, if youve got nothing good to say, dont say it :)

So heres one for you OCUK staff

I bought the HX620 second hand for an absolute bargain, but when I started buying expensive parts (2500k, 6950), it only seemed sensible to buy a new powersupply.

The HX620 is currently in my planned HTPC build to save costs, then its going into my girlfriends computer as her PSU is dying slowly.

I would have tried returning it through Corsair, but getting it in and out of this case ripped the "Warranty Void" sticker :(
