So I just finished Lost Season 3 (ending me like wut)

Looking forward to starting the next season to try and figure out what the hell is happening haha.

Also been told that Season 6 (or 7?) is totally messed up is this true?

I have never seen it before :D

I loved lost but hated the 6th season. I watched it for the second time recently and didn't hate it as much but it could have been so much better.

It's all personal opinion of course. Some loved it, some hated it.

Oh dear its going to be like House where in the 8th Season it just was poor.

I'm still gonna watch it though Season 3 ending cannot be finish like that. I have to say probably was the most active season so far but that paralyzed episode dear god was shockingly bad.

No, it's not like that, it's not like the season just does down hill but stays the same. It turns you over draws a bullseye on your butt and takes a run up.
It makes the end of Dexter look like a masterpiece.

I got to like season 5 of Dexter before giving up on that I do intend on starting it again I just found it hard work :D

The problem with Lost is that they were making it up as they went along; and I don't just mean the small stuff, but the entire "mystery".

Whenever they needed a good cliffhanger they would add a new, cool sounding, mystery (the numbers, the hatch, the shipwreck etc), with no real idea of how any of these mysteries could be tied together into a cohesive explanation.

To me, that explains the rather lame ending. There was never going to be a decent ending, because they never planned for it.

For an example of a complex, fascinating, mystery that was actually planned from the beginning, try Carnivàle. Sadly, it was cancelled after 2 seasons, probably because the US audience couldn't understand it.

Even with only 2 seasons, it's worth watching. The creator has written a summary of what would have happened to the characters in later seasons, so you can get some closure.

I will look into that thanks ;)

But yeah with Lost I do feel that the producers do get bored in both Season 2 and Season 3 introduce new characters get some backstory together so they become a bit more believable and just kill them off for no real reason. (Again that paralyzed episode does not exist in this comment, that was just a bad episode)

I finished the series, but by around season 4 or 5 I really stopped caring. I just continued watching for the sake of finishing it. Any emotional moments like deaths or whatever had no effect because I just couldn't care less by that point.

The series is not worth the hype at all.

The indefinite string-along "whoa... WTF" policy of the first few seasons was OK until the writers strike. After the strike ended it felt like nobody even remembered what they were stringing us along with - several major plot devices were completely rebooted, entire storylines and characters that took years to develop were discarded ultimately leading to some sort of half baked mythology cheesecake with bizarre time travel stuffing and bitter, bitter end.

Its sort of building some excitement in me for the next season. I am worried but I think I cannot really judge "how bad" it goes as it is subjective word to use.

But I just want to see what happens now. I want to know more. :D

It was a real shame actually, because the first season, and particularly the pilot, was some of the best television I've ever watched.

Remember Locke's episode, when you finally realise that he was in a wheelchair before the crash? Amazing. My skin still crawls thinking about it!

You want to know more and all they give you is a whole bunch more question which you want to know the answer too. This continues with ever more ridiculous plots and questions, until at the end they flick you the bird and kick your dog.
Don't get angry when it happens :) I warned you.

Lost is the best and worst TV show ever.

We were genuinely excited week to week looking forward to Lost. The intro scenes are phenomenal.

First 3 seasons were amazing, but due to the nature of the show, you can't just quit watching it :/

The end of House was epic, perfect ending imo. :p

That one episode for season 8 is good don't get me wrong but the entire season was missing a lot IMO. Maybe part of it was the format was a bit different which I suppose came from new character additions (but that could be me I'm generally a hater of new characters and I missed some of the old ones)
