The 911 Turbo

Although he went for black, so perhaps he doesn't have taste like yourself?
With all the black plastic at either end I think I'd have strongly considered black. Depends on just how black they are, hard to tell from the pics if they are black or very dark grey.

So nice to see one in another colour from silver. I've always loved porsches more than any other supercar. If I had the money it would be my car of choice.

Lovely car, dont fancy appying the woodstain to your garage though, mind you if you can afford one of those you pay someone elsde to do it :D

I'll take some interior shots when the light is right. The interior is quite special. I chose a fair bit of extra leather and carbon parts so there's very little plastic on show.

As has been pointed out the front spoiler lip and rear valance is black, but waiting to be fitted I have the same parts painted Cobalt Blue. I just want to see how likely I am to scrape the front lip first.

How does it compare to the M5? Well, to early to give a detailed evaluation, but clearly there are differences. Let's get one thing straight - the E60 M5 is one hell of an accomplished car. It's fast, handles superbly and is spacious inside. A capable driver can make one hustle with the best of the rest.

Stating the obvious the 911 is smaller inside, although there's still plenty of legroom for my 6ft7in frame. How many other supercars could you say that about? The back is s different matter though. Young kids only or 1 adult over both seats. Hey it's a sportscar

The one immediately obvious advantage over the M5 is torque. 501LB/FT @ 1950RPM versus 384LB/FT @ 6100RPM. You're going to feel that difference the moment you push the go button.

Finally, thank you for buying from OcUK. Without you none of this would have been possible :D

Ahhh, so we're all part owners? You're just holding it for us like the P1 club? :D

Truly magnificent..

That hovis looks marvellously tasty. :p

Fantastic car, lools brilliant in that colour, but i've never actually bought anything from ocuk (yet anyway), so i didn't contribute :o

Pfffffff...meh :p :D

Crikey you're tall! I'm 6'4" myself. At least I know that some sports cars would accomodate me, should the opportunity one day arise to purchase one (unlikely). :(

Mate you've worked hard over the years. Supported community with forums.

Nuff said.

Lastly - will you continue track days with the track car or will this have some track mileage?

lol - at least you're sharing those gorgeous pics with everyone. The blue looks great, can't wait to see the interior.

That is just a stunning car, I am dead jealous. Hope you enjoy the fruits of your labour.

What sort of Audio stuff have you got in there? My mate's Porsche has a fantastic stock install. I think it's all Bose stuff which I have never really rated but after hearing it I cannot fault it really.

As a Ferrari fan I feel it my duty to voice my displeasure at your choice of supercar....

...but I can't, it's gorgeous
The Hovis granary rocks too! It's up there with Warburtons seedy batch.

The 911 has never really 'done it' for me in terms of looks, at least not the same way a Ferrari or a Lamborghini does but it's still an incredibly impressive car. All that torque at 1950RPM from a 3.6 (?) litre engine?

I know you've 'done' the Ferrari thing so I guess the Porsche was the next logical choice. I hope you enjoy it, congrats :).

You also seem to have the world's largest garden shed....

Fantastic car, I’ve never been in the Turbo but have driven a couple of 996’s they are such nice cars to drive.

I also love the look of the new 997 much more of a old school 911 look with the oval headlamps compared to the 996.

Definitely a classic in the making.
