The α6000 Thread

A place to discuss all things α6000, I've noticed an increase in owners in various threads lately lets start it off with a show of hands and kit list:-

Sony α6000 black
Samyang 12mm f2
Sony 35mm f1.8
Sony 50mm f1.8
Sony 55-210mm

Probably going to sell mine having invested in a D750, but I've still got:
A6000 black
Sigma 30mm 2.8
Sony 55-210mm
Sony 10-18mm f4 (awesome)
A few Minolta MD legacy lenses with an adaptor

I note the awesome next to the 10-18mm I'm looking at changing my Samyang for one as I'm not getting on with the MF, worth the extra ££?

Forgot to mention, the 10-18mm Sony is a good purchase especially if you're thinking of going Sony Full-frame as from around 12mm it covers almost all of the frame.

That's interesting I'm also looking at the 16-70mm f4 as a general walkabout lens, I've not used the 12mm so I'm not sure I'll get much use out of the 10-18mm, hmmm decisions!

What settings do people use to maximise battery life?

Does anyone have any recommendations for third party batteries?

Pre-AF off
I also have the rear screen just showing the menu, and then to turn off automatically when I bring the camera up to my eye.

I bought a DSTE charger from the rainforest with 2 batteries after reading some decent reviews, barely any difference between them and the Sony battery.

What are people's thoughts on the 55-210? I'm pondering that rather than splashing out on the FE 70-200 G in a few months.

Decent when stopped down a touch in decent light, hit or miss otherwise but could be my copy though, for the money though its ideal for the small amount of use it'll get.

Anybody added a bigger flash to their setup? I'm looking at the Neewer MK320 as a compromise between size and power?

Wish I saw the 18-200 now! Brought the 18-200le which cost an arm and a leg

Is it just a size difference?
