Let's not lie about this people. Acheivement/Trophy Hunting have become the new collectibles in this Gaming Age. Don't deny it. I see past your faux scorn of such things and know that you feel a little happy when you hear the sound of an acheivement/trophy being unlocked.

Now it is time to spread that happiness with tips!

Many people come up against Acheivements/Trophies that they just can't acquire and are denied that sense of happiness. Here we shall use our collective knowledge to help our fellow gamers overcome these obstacles to take one step closer to the Platinum/1000GS.

So, be not shy if you are struggling. Come to this thread for support and maybe the OCUK Gamers shall provide help.
 
I'm crap at Halo 3 and need someone to co-op it with me. I'm only playing on normal, but I'm stuck on level 8. Gonna see if I can get a mate round, but otherwise might be asking on here.

Other tough achievements that spring to mind:

Braid: Finish the whole game in 45 minutes.
Prince of Persia Classic: Finish the whole game in 1 hour without dying
Forza 3: Sold Gold - get gold on all events. Even if you use the hired driver, it's still a massive time sink.
 
Tbh most trophies are easy enough but it's just down right boring some of them such as collect every hidden thing in gta, or all wanted posters in mafia 2 etc.

I don't particularly like Halo but I would like to get some of the achievements done so I can get rid of it, I was rather good too.

Perhaps we can assist each other :o I'm usually available at anytime unless I have coursework to be doing for college.

Wed or Thu is probably the best bet, as my wife will be out so I'm guaranteed the TV :D
 
Would I be right in thinking that GTA4, as a GFWL game, quite happily displays its achievements on your linked XBox profile? And that the more unscrupulous among us would run the PC version of the game with one of the many available trainers...

Perish the thought...
 
the solid gold achievement, arghh! its almost as bad as Seriously 2.0 and Party Like its 1999 in Gears of War II, hell and reach level 50 on Gears of War (if there is a Seriously 3.0 in Gears 3 I will scream!). achievement I cannot, absolutely cannot get is Call of Duty Modern Warfare, complete the 'Mile High Club' level on Veteran...HOW?! you have like 30 seconds or something to run through an enemy infested aircraft with almost zero ability to take any sort of damage...!? on the topic of Halo games, in Reach I cannot get the one for assassinating an elite in a fall that would have otherwise been fatal, I have done it about twelve times and it never gives me the damned achievement?! Halo III just has too many achievements and some of them are really annoying, same goes for ODST, running round some city looking for audio logs gets a little tedious, not even sure which one I have missed! :(

I havent 100% any game, always find theres 1 or 2 achievements which you either need a few mates to do or is just stupidly hard or tedious.

Like collecting 67 audio logs on AvP, urrrm no thanks.

I've got 1000 on Arkham Asylum (hardest achievement was the combat challenges) and Assassin's Creed II (hardest achievement was the feathers) and I've got 200 on a handful of arcade games.
