I've been using the MeLe F10 Pro for the last 6 months, with it's responsive & easy to use air mouse pointer & functional QWERTY keyboard, it was quite the formidable HTPC remote.

However, it's decided to stop charging on me & rather than purchase a new remote every 6 months, i've started the look for a replacement!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to replacements?

My criteria are:

  • QWERTY keyboard for URL typing/password entering
  • Arrow buttons for general navigation
  • Touchpad/Touchball or air mouse for cursor movement
  • Remote-esque form factor (No full wireless keyboards please)
  • No remote apps for tablets or smartphones (I like a physical remote)

The MeLe F10 Pro does fulfill all of the above criteria, but as I said, I would rather not have to replace the remote every 6 months :D

I too have gone through a good number of options.

I have had a bunch of cheaper mini keyboards and they have had various levels of success, but yes, they die after a few months no matter how well you look after them.
Similarly, I upped to bigger ones and they are no better.

The last time , I bit the bullet and splashed out on a Logitech TK820.

This has been flawless until only last month where the glide pad mouse thingy started to stick... It has now failed completely and its still under warranty but Im stuck in hospital now so nothing i can do about it.

I will be replacing it for the same as I hope thats its a one-off failure because I have a fairly supidly huge collection of computers and many run on logitech mice keyboards and a trackball and they have lasted for many many years without failure and for the to go, will just make me realize that Im just not a pad fan.
( Im not, I use mice on my laptops as well - Oh, and thats a logitech too! LOL )
