I've recently picked up a discounted Canon EOS M, no it's not amazing but to me it's a massive upgrade as my first "proper" camera goes.

Simply put, it's in the box at the moment, I do t have a bag! I'm not after lugging around endless amounts of kit, just the camera, charger, couple of cards and maybe a 2nd lens.

I've always been a fan of the crumpler bags but I don't like the feeling of setting myself up to be robbed either so are there any more discreet alternatives. Crumpler wise I was looking at the jackpack 1500 or 3000.

Will consider any other good suggestions though :-)

I've got two Lowepro bags. One a rucksack design, the other a shoulder bag. They've be superb and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Take a look at their bag finder, you can specify what items to carry and they will come up with some suggestions. The prices are quite reasonable as well.

The Canon EOS M is listed under SRL/CSC

Nothing wrong with the EOS-M, especially for the price.... I'm considering one myself.

It does seem that to get a camera bag that doesn't look like a camera bag, you have to go upmarket, like Billingham or Think Tank.

I saw a nice bag in Tk Maxx the other day, classic leather over the shoulder but with magnetic closures under the buckles. Thought it'd be perfect for my CSC except there's no internal dividers. I'm thinking of stitching in, or maybe even using self-adhesive velcro strips inside to support some dividers.

ALso, my Crumpler Daily XL has a removable internal pouch with dividers that I can transplant into another bag. Big for a CSC though.

Buy a smaller "camera insert" from the bay for around £10 and put in the TK Maxx bag :)

I'm still contemplating crumpler if I'm honest. I've decided on the Jackpack but am unsure as to whether the 1500 will be enough for my with lens, an extra lens and bat/charger combo or whether I should get the 3000. They're the same price, but I can't get the 3000 in grey at the same price..... I like the grey:rolleyes:

For work, I have a peli and a Crumpler.

Travels, I really just put it in my Ted Baker leather bag. No padding, I may line it with a T-shirt or something. I am just be careful when walking so as not to knock it. Cameras are a lot tougher than you think.

I have a Kata 467 backpack for when I'm travelling and carrying a fair load of stuff but honestly half the shoots I do when i'm not carrying too much with me it's just a messenger back with an insert, it's just easier most of the time and when I'm done I take the insert out with my gear in and put it on the side until I'm shooting again.

Something like a Lowepro Event Messenger 100 would do the job. I have the slightly bigger 150 and I think it's great.
