Hey everyone

Now I thought that the Akasa Mirage was just a revamped Eclipse 62 with a aluminium front, but Yewen you say that it may not be as good as the Eclipse? Can you explain it to me please? :)

And sorry about Naffa

Oh he posted a mugshot of Yewen in GD partly to do with me...

Oh right, will it still have superior cooling or has the cooling taken a big hit? This is because I'm going to be making my first computer soon (when Conroe is out) and wanted the Mirage to be my case.

So I guess the Eclipse will be better? I read on a site that there are a few different versions and they haven't finalised any particular design yet...

Check the spam thread in GD, continuation from there without the MOH shrine popping up. :p

They have indeed messed up the cooling, three versions or more floating about at the moment each with a different side panel, each looking a lot worse than the Eclipse.

If it is just the Eclipse with an aluminium front then fine, but I just know they will stick a 25cm fan on the side, ruining the Eclipse's perfect airflow.

Beat me to it with your reply, if they keep the same design then yes it will be great, but otherwise they will ruin the great cooling at low noise attribute the Eclipse posseses, will be a real shame if they do.

The other option is buy a Eclipse blowhole side panel, and hope it still fits. ;)

Yeah i saw one and it had great big 4 fans on the side?! If they're exhaust then won't that stop all air going to the back of the case? What will happen if its intake?

Maybe they'll make a plain clear side panel for it...

Ah well the plastic front of the Eclipse won't bother me that much since I've been using pre built pcs forever

A company who shall remain nameless because of the competitor rule have a beige case in their workshop at the moment which looks just like an Eclipse, but with 2 x 120mm fans at the front behind a plastic grill and 2 x 120mm fans stacked on the side panel.
Whoever made it, it's no bodge-up, it's a real production case (so I'm told) so Globalwin or someone else must be readying something

That sounds promising.

Globalwin used to sell the Eclipse a few years ago as a server case, so it would make sense that they re-release it with some upgrades.

That sounds promising, from the pictures I have seen the Mirage looks worse than the Eclipse to, but you can't usually go by them.

The Pic's over on No competitor talk please! look quite good i myself have the 62, looks like there going for a big 4 fan bracket like in the new stacker lol no need really.

But i think i will get this to replace the 62. for my new conroe system as the plastic front looks abit dated now and it makes a nasty rattle somtimes...

or maybe ill stop being silly and get a V1000 :) i think conroe and the V series will look really nice together with the blue Intel sticker on the silver mmmmm.
right ill shut up now.
