When it's being made back in Thialand with the rest of WD it might last longer than it's warrnty period and be worth getting, let alone using! Deathstar and more so with speeds as that!
 
All this deathstar stuff is nonsense now. That time is long behind them. I have a pair of 1TB 7K.1000C drives and they have been reliable, quiet and fast. When prices drop on these i will probably get a pair for raid 0.

Agreed, ive had a few 7K.1000C drives they are excellent.
