Thought the trailer looked like my kinda game, but the whole home pod building bits aren't really my thing, though I checked out the demo anyway, the third person exploration is kinda cool, visually it's UE5 and what we've come to expect now, looks really good too and runs really well. No shader stutters, using DLAA 3440x1440 it's always above 90fps. It ships with DLSS 3.7 so uses Preset E for everything DLSS, it also has DLSS Ultra Quality which I've not seen in other games yet so that was cool.

TheAlters-Win64-Shipping.exe benchmark completed, 54053 frames rendered in 561.078 s
Average framerate : 96.3 FPS
Minimum framerate : 78.1 FPS
Maximum framerate : 119.2 FPS
1% low framerate : 79.1 FPS
0.1% low framerate : 69.4 FPS

Cutscenes in this run at a locked 60fps (all in-engine), some scenes like those voice/video call cutscenes in the pod are locked to 30fps but the moment they end it's back up to 90+ fps. When zooming out whilst in the pod I found that panning around with the controller's stick was smoother than using the mouse. Seems this game is optimised more for controller use than mouse.

No FOV slider, no chromatic aberration option, ultrawide works out the box.

Not bad really, nice to see another well optimised UE5 game!

Yeah played the demo, was just 'alright' and though an interesting twist, still very 'fallout shelter' on mobile which I think is what Grim5 was alluding too.

Watched Lirik play the demo the other day and it's on my wishlist now, for the Frostpunk devs this looks visually a big upgrade, reminds me of playing the newer xcom games with the same base building layout setup.

I played a heap of fallout shelter a while ago now so this could strach that same itch for me. Never heard of it before, thanks for drwaing my attnetio to it.

steam link since OP didn't include

Looks like one of those games that's interesting enough until the refund period is over, then you realise it's just a pointless tech demo concept with no real point
