I have an MSI 285 gaming in my media PC with an i3 4330 and 8GB ram. I installed GTA V today just for the fun of it and was quite surprised it runs really well at very high settings 1080p. Even though it reports 2.5gb V Ram required it still runs ok and stays over 40fps.

Not bad for a PC costing less than £350....

Does the cpu not bottleneck the 285? I've got an i3 in my htpc and looking to get a gpu for it.

Seems fine to me. Was running Mordor and BF4 last night and they both worked ok. The 4330 is a 3.5ghz chip so plenty of grunt for a 285.

Thanks. I'll have to try my 670 in my HTPC and use it as an excuse to upgrade to a 980

My HIS 285 arrived.

It overclocks really well, i think i got a golden sample.

I just got mine as well, excellent little card, its in my media PC and it's really quiet. Not overclocked it though.

Yep 5960X @4Ghz, hyper threading was off too.
