*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

Driver support is were AMD usually fall down, plus they hve a backend focus on developing and deliverying AI chips, thats basically top tiar cards, so it make sence to focus on the big money with AI and data center for them and then gaming later with the rewards that come from that. my 2 cents at least
AMD drivers tend to be really good these days you get the odd problem every now and then but you do with NVIDIA drivers as well.

i dont mind being wrong so long as i can learn something, and if thats my percetions are wrong im ok with changing that.

AMD's Adrenalin software has been great for a while (though it would crash on my 6700XT from time to time and I'd have to manually reload my presets). Nvidia is only just catching up with its new app after finally abandoning its mandatory login to Geforce experience.
thank you

thats a fair point regarding Nvidia.

Apologies for ragging on ya a bit. As someone who runs both Nvidia and AMD between mine and my son’s PC (4080 and 7900 XT currently), I can categorically say both have been pain free. The odd bug here and there from both is to be expected, but I zero major issues.

I've not had any issues for a good long while, either. I saw a comparison a while ago by Vex and he basically came out of it thinking AMD's software was better than Nvidia's in a lot of ways.

Dual fan would suit my case to be honest.

I get that. My point was more that AMD's has been good for a long while now, despite the fact that people assume it's still not very good.
Good in many aspects. Still deserving of the jank label in others. The jank when encountered is often tolerated because the hardware is better for some things than alternatives in the same price range.

Can't say I've experienced any jank with either my RX 480 or 6700 XT, but my HD 7850 had to go back because it was such a mess. Long time ago, though.

Anyone else think that AMD did ye old jebait and switch the BIOS at the last minute and that's why they didn't show of GPU's on stage at CES? I.e keep Nvidia guessing. The performance might have been a surprise to Nvidia and that could be why RTX 5080 is delayed and they are swapping the final BIOS on that card as well?

Just a thought :p

"pushed back due to a late arriving BIOS for the new graphics cards, which meant that AIB or partner card manufacturers requested a delay to prepare their own models. The article also claims that both Nvidia's own Founders Edition models as well as AIB card models will see embargos lifted the same day."
