that would have sold it the 6700xt reputation as the midlevel darling at the time would have helped that pitchI would have worded that very differently.
Its 47% faster than the 6700 XT with 16GB vs 12GB of VRam for a 4% increase in price.

That's horrifying. My in-laws regale us with tales of paying 12% back in the 80s...
...I have a 7800XT as well, a stupid purchase tbh...
I've settled on an all amd system this decade.
9800x3d and 9070 xt...x? Here I come
I recall hardware unboxed saying the 7800xt was the obvious choice over the 4070 at $100 cheaper
We are getting way off topic with this crap, most people don't have time to hang on to every word they say, people want multiple opinions and they don't sit watching the whole video, they skip to the end.
Ooo the ocuk 9070 landing page is gone
It's more I'm tired of the green team taking the wee. What they conveniently leave out is that the purchase price was roughly equivalent to a goat and a bag of turnips
Why do you think it was stupid?
Going back to the point on "vendor lock-in", I do think AMD have missed a trick on tying their GPUs to their CPU success. There should be much more benefit to having an all-AMD system (even just from a business standpoint).
Yeah, and the German sales numbers I posted earlier seem to back up that the 7800XT has in fact sold like hot cakes.
Its just about how much time people have to research, that's all.
They ran out of toilet roll in "Australia" and people in England panic bought it so ....So are you saying most people can’t think for the themselves?
Imagine being so bereft of actual critical thought that anyone would say it’s perfectly OK to have someone else tell them how to think.
I do think AMD are going to wait until after the RTX 5070 review

The non DLSS4 results say it all. I had my eye on the 5070Ti but if the value is there on the 9070(XT) I might hop on board here instead.Nvidia have now confirmed that the 5070 Ti & 5070 are only 20% Faster Than 4070 Ti & 4070.
Surely AMD can't miss this open goal now can they?
NVIDIA Confirms RTX 50 Gaming GPUs Native "Non-DLSS" RT Uplifts: RTX 5090 30% Faster Than 4090, 5080 15% Faster Than 4080, 5070 Ti & 5070 20% Faster Than 4070 Ti & 4070
NVIDIA confirmed native RT uplifts of its RTX 50 GPUs, RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, & 5070, without the use of DLSS which averages around 15-20%.wccftech.com
