*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

Why has this turned into a Samsung Galaxy Cyberpunk thread?

Please don't make me dredge through more crappy posts than is absolutely necessary :p

Oh it's good, very good.

At +50% perf for the 9070XT over my 6900XT, this is defo a valid upgrade route... for the right $$

If it's ~40% faster than a 7900 GRE, then I expect it to be at least ~20% more expensive (because inflation, supply chain, blah blah), so around $650. Then add retailer scalping on top of that for the first few weeks/months... $750-800 perhaps? This makes it not such a great deal - or at least better to wait until pricing settles if you don't need a card immediately.

Found it in comments on videocardz while losing some brain cells

Thank you for your sacrifice, brother!

I am left with the question, do I buy at release or wait 3+ months for AMD to drop the price significantly?

Easy - how much do you value the extra time gaming on the new card?

If you don't have a card or are using a stop gap, then paying 20 quid a month (four pints?) for an extra 3 or 4 months might be totally worth it.

If not, then as I said above, no harm in waiting!

Yeah I can't understand that with single player, replaying when you already know what's gonna happen spoils it , it just repetitive doing the same thing again and again , I loved the last of us and red dead 2 but wouldn't replay them again when I already know what happens now

Online against real humans I'll keep coming back
I'm on my second playthrough, at about 170hrs so far. I'm the same, I'll finish a single player game then that's it, but CP has so many decisions and different paths, sidequests you miss if you don't do XYZ, the world and vibe is just fun to be in... I just wish it wasn't such a Nvidia benchmark because it's a really great game. Not for everyone, mind.

Saying that I only started playing after 2.0 update, by all accounts it was barely playable for years.

for city folk maybe most people I know have 30mbs but once you have others in the household streaming youtube

it is annoying as down the road you can get 1000mbs but sadly not here yet
Not sure where you think I am, I know it says Stoke on Trent under my name but Im just outside of Stoke on Trent which is miles away from the city, the Potteries is made up of so many towns you wouldnt believe it.

I have 1GB internet in my town of 25K population (S-O-T has over 250K Population). Im sure USwitch aint making up figures on their website though. Maybe you live in the sticks somewhere but most people dont.

Anyways going off topic too much.

9070XT over £500 and I wait, if 9070 is around £400 I'll probs just buy one of those instead, gotta be a decent jump from my 3060Ti and no way am I being the only gamer left here running one of those, that position is reserved for @CAT-THE-FIFTH :D

Now I was thinking of just waiting let the dust settle and the prices adjust (or maybe some free games get added).
But the thought then occurred to me that that's the approach I took with the 9800X3D and as a result I've still not bought one as I don't think they've even got back to MSRP let alone dropped under it.
I know CPUs and GPUs are different as there's probably more competition for one, but maybe that's not the way it's going to go now? Maybe the 9070 launch prices will be the cheapest we see the cards for a while?

12GB would have been an issue with some of them,so either way it wouldn't be worth it. Either I don't bother running them or I run them fully. Just like some people want to spend almost £1000 to PT,I don't really care if the RT is set down to medium from high. Moreover, the only game I had issues with was Cyberpunk 2077. It is only one of three games with any degree of RT I bothered to play in any massive way in the last 4 years. I play more of games like Valhelm and Enshrouded.

But it is also an example of how,in the end the big theoretical performance boost in RT doesn't last. One update and all the RTX3060TI/RTX3070 owners run out of RT performance and VRAM. I spent all of £370 in four years, minus the previous card I sold.

The difference is the Pixel 8 Pro will cost less than your phone,as I can sell my old one to. But I now also have a back-up phone if I don't bother.

You say that until that sweet PT lures you in!
Am i in th wrong thread?

PIXEL 8!!!
