*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

The Sapphire Nitro+ range has a 12v-2x6 Power Connector in a rather odd placement and angle. Any thoughts?

keeps the front nice and clean...has 2 hdmi ports too, which is what I need

But it's not parity...

But it's also not £200 off in performance, a couple of percent in most of not all situations, the AI workloads and work related stuff 95% of gamers don't use.

When comparing apples for apples part AMD have priced it ok, sure I'd love the xt to be £500 or less, but let's be realistic

I imagine ocuk will do a few units at the base msrp circa £575ish then the stock will evaporate and the remaining AIB stock will all be £599+

That's what I'm expecting, or zero 599 stock at all to push people towards the more expensive cards. Really wouldn't surprise me if retailers hold back the cheaper cards to flog the more expensive ones first.

There's more chance of finding the AMD cards closer to the MSRP than Nvidia, gibbon has already alluded to that also, they certainly won't be as inflated as the Nvidia prices even if they are inflated because "new"

The trouble with this "new" thing is that with a card like the 9070xt it isn't really "new" in terms of performance. It's performance we've already had for a while so the only thing that matters is price, relative to what came before.

Therefore people madly buying them up for beyond RRP/for the same price as the old card with the same performance is illogical and just pure FOMO driven nonsense.

Anyone who goes crazy and buys a 9070xt for £700 - £800has to ask themselves why they didn't buy a 7900xtx or 4080 last year ..

give it a couple of months and those prices will creep apart more. probably looking at £650-675 for a top XT AIB model. which for a card marketed against the GRE is expensive.
