*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

I would guess so as the 9070XT would replace the GRE and 7900XT and the 9070 the 7800XT

It seems different people are interpreting this differently, i.e. 7900 GRE/XT performance levels vs a direct replacement for a GRE/XT in the product stack.

It reads to me like the latter, i.e. 9070 XT is replacing the GRE/XT, 9070 is replacing the 7800 XT, 9060 XT is replacing the 7700 XT and 9060 is replacing the 7600 XT. So not indicative of performance, but potentially indicative of pricing - if they've got a four card line-up replacing the product range from the 7600 XT all the way up to the 7900 XT then I think we can probably forget about any possibility of a £500 9070 XT. The pricing will probably be £300, £400, £500-£550, £600-£650 :(

Interesting, so FSR4 only works on RDNA4, no backwards compatibility. AMD has broken its original promise to be open with its tech and good on them, it's the only way to close the image quality gap with Nvidia

amd should have just taken a slot on 8th.. sometimes i wonder if they are acting all high and mighty only to follow in nvidia's footsteps.. you knew you had to wait for nvdias price announcement, it was simple, theres no place for ego in business

Nothing to say nvidia will announce price tonight. Could be a preview as the amd card is alleged to be

People on Reddit are so mad that their rx7000 gpu won't support fsr4. Really it was predictable though - sure it's painful, because rtx2000 from 7 years ago can still run the latest dlss today and now amd is wiping the slate clean and needs to build up a library of supported titles for fsr4, but this was sorely needed as AMD's commercial customers such as Sony had lost faith in fsr

Question I have, will 7900xtx owners here make a downgrade from their 7900xtx to get better image quality with fsr4??

Basically yeah, next few weeks prices should be known as team greens offering will be out, interesting to see where they will be priced in the stack.
Could have been a press release, will need another presentation for performance or price announcements anyway. Wonder when the 9900/50x3d announcement is.

Plus better RT you'd hope.
