:p my bad!

If it works then cool, I can always OC down the line with a beefier PSU etc..just its too much money from the get go all in one..for me anyway...
Check the reviews. PCper are good in that they just measure the draw of the card. The Vega FEs pretty much matched their TDP so I'd expect Vega 64 to be similar.

If the 56 can just match a 1070 Will stick to my 980tis, they can match a 1070 most of the time from reading benchmarks etc.

Easilly the best vfm card right now even if i did buy them at full price theyve been well worth the money.

Vega 56 definitely isn't a worthwhile upgrade form a 980ti. Maybe in a years time Vehga driver will have eek out a small lead of 5-10% over a 1070, but a whole Volta lineup will be out in the wild for 3-6 months by then.

Would this be a worthwhile upgrade from my Fury Pro?
Locked into Freesync, and while the Fury does really well at 1440p, could always do with more ooomph.
Will be fine with an EVGA G2 850w I would have thought?

sold my hybrid 980ti for 360 today was fantastic card. Best card i owned EVER !!! Well ebsides black screen driver crash random in WoW that is.

Unless you need the upgrade from Fury in any amount, it doesnt seem a great leap forward to bother especially jumping on release day for it. [The other side is Fury isnt selling for tons like a 480, but 480 to Vega seems good idea to me]
Ask again in a week or In Sept or October if its possible to wait and get some smarter version for the same price? seems the better course. Or even wait till xmas depends on your patience/requirements and hope the whole deal develops, it will be attractive if they do improve drivers but even after NDA goes that part is all a guess

Oh for sure, won't be jumping straight in with both feet upon release. If I was to get one, it would hopefully be a sapphire tri-x like my current Fury, which will probably not appear for a month or 2 anyways.

a bit hypothetical here but...
if Nv and AMD's top cards both performed exactly the same in every way shape or form, same price/temps/design/power usage/fps/warranty etc...

which would you buy?

The whose manufacturer has the lower market share. Need to keep that ideal situation level.

Depending on the manufacturing date some of those monitors ARE capable according to reviews/forums (although BenQ doesn't mention it for some reason).

Have you tried enabling it?

After googling on it, it apparently supports it....in the 48-60hz range, so a mahoosive 12 hertz. Can't say I've noticed any real difference with it on or off as i have frtc set to 60.

Which Vega are you interested in? The dollar price is ok, but, that doesn't always mean the UK price will be good.
Initially the 64, maybe the 56 if its good price performance, however if its silly money i'll go for a 1080, might even stretch for that gigabyte black 1080ti
