Where are the ATi guys today? Surely not with AMD?
But arent you thinking that complitely backwards? Nvidia is selling you 15months old tech. Not only that, but they are selling it at premium price and taking a hell of a lot more winnings per gpu vs AMD. So basicly they are just cashing you out. To me atleast, that would be insulting.![]()
I pressed quote before the edit, the edit must have got forced into my post?Did you not notice my edit that you quoted ?![]()
Seems you just want to see what you want to see. Point is one could have had this performance ages ago for the same price, not to mention on a card that runs more efficient. Vega came very late and did not improve price for performance like it should have. End of the day people complained Nvidia is milking us so people waited; over a year later now waiting those people will be rewarded by getting milked by AMD. lol.But arent you thinking that complitely backwards? Those are exactly the prices Vega should have been. It would have been praised by everyone that is not an Nvidia fanboy imo.Are those prices listed the actual official prices?
AMD should be thinking long term here, suffer a loss on RX Vega to keep the existing Freesync owners and build up new customers. Imagine how different the talk would be right now if AMD pricing went as follows:-
Rx Vega 56 - $299
Rx Vega 64 Reference - $399
Rx Vega 64 Limited - $459
Rx Vega 64 Liquid - $549
That would have been a pretty good upgrade path for a lot of people on Polaris and lower GPU's. It would have tempted more people to buy Freesync monitors.
Surely AMD is reading reactions today and they have to know that Vega is going to be a fail. Pricing is the only thing that can make a difference right now.
It would much better for them to lose money but increase market share and build a base of customers for their next generation of cards. They have been doing so much right lately, good drivers and Ryzen has been successful. The Vega launch has ruined all that hard work.
Better to suffer the loss and keep the good reputation earned of late.
Looks like it. Nice, was expecting higher (although over in blighty, we'll still get screwed over with the £1=$1.

Also, they're knocking $200 off of freesync monitor & $100 off of mobo/Ryzen7 prices \o/
Believe me after launch they will have to lower them to those prices if they want to sell any lol One of the worst products lines i haver ever seen. Nothing is positive about this card and to think that they have actually made an ad with 'poor volta' message makes my skin crawl ewww talk about failure ..Are those prices listed the actual official prices?

Would be nice but i think you're more likely to see a Rocking Horse taking a dump.
Off RRP prices. The monitor price will certainly vary, depending where you buy it. Also the monitor is a 34" Samsung and the CPU is an 1800X + MB so it's a big outlay. They are knocking off UP TO 200$ and 100$ that's very important
Just read on Reddit that the bundles and therefore the liqued edition will not be available in the EU - only the US. Is that true?
Certainly not seen any mention of EU or UK prices for the offer.Just read on Reddit that the bundles and therefore the liqued edition will not be available in the EU - only the US. Is that true?
