Cheers, yeah I pressed the image button and it wasn't having any of it!
My 3rd (an EVGA card) 3070 should be here tomorrow.
Hopefully better than the Palit (which is miles better than the FE)
The 3070 FE runs quite hot. What was wrong with the FE one compared to others? did the other 3070's break or something?
Quick one, anyone running this GPU on 3440x1440? Unsure of which GPU to go for this or 3080.
Thanks

I picked up the Palit as I wanted an AIB. Miles better cooling than the FE
I managed to snag an EVGA which to me have the best warranty and allow you to stick a waterblock on it without voiding the warranty
It isn't overly hot.Don't have the 3070, but have used plenty of 2080Tis which this is comparable to and does well at 3440 x 1440. Of course a 3080 will allow more eye candy / higher FPS so if you can get one at a decent price would be a shout, but 3070 is no slouch at the res either.
Ahhh. Thought may have got as unlucky as me. two messed up 3090's!. Sounds good. Shame about the heat, for bigger brothers the FE is steller.
Took possession of mine a few days ago but forgot to put name next to it and I won't be back home for a couple of days, but here's mine

Got my inno3d x3 3070 yesterday and for me its too early to tell (running 3440x1400), but I have been enjoying playing Control with DLSS + RTX High running at ~75 fps. In my case I feel I am currently bottlenecked with my CPU on some games like Valhalla and Odyssey. 3070 is a fair contender for the resolution, but I think if you want to have Max settings with RTX and >60hz, then 3080 would be recommended over the 3070 (in my opinion).Quick one, anyone running this GPU on 3440x1440? Picked up the Palit ProGaming (non-oc) about a week ago (when the local store had 10% off pre-black Friday sale, which made it MSRP lol - sale my butt.)
It's been way better than expected, really happy with it.
Sits rock solid at bit over 2GHz straight oob, temperatures really good, Samsung memory - which all local Palits seem to have - well, sample size of 3 co-workers. Haven't had a chance to put it through its paces yet, but, this weekend hopefully... After a brief scan of this thread, I just shoved the power slider to 113%, put memory on 8000 and core +120, which is what every card should do, if I understand correctly.

Haven't seen it go past 68 degrees under load. Only negative is the plasticky backplate with no cut out for back of the GPU, but temps seem fine, so meh...
We will see this weekend how it performs when pushed.
On that note, anyone knows how to increase the power limit past 113%? Is under-volting a thing on 3070s, I seem to be only able to increase voltage?
TIA
- really chuffed to play with a current gen card, been on my 1080 for what seems like forever.
The Palit is great. The only reason I wanted an EVGA is because they allow removal of the cooler for watercooling.Picked up the Palit ProGaming (non-oc) about a week ago (when the local store had 10% off pre-black Friday sale, which made it MSRP lol - sale my butt.)
