I'm very happy with mine. Coming from a 1070 it's a massive step up in performance. If I wanted the flagship I'd have had to stump up for the 3090. Like it or not GPU prices have rocketed over the last few years.

Times have certainly changed no doubt about it. I'm just not buying into the acceptance of the current pricing scheme going on. Coming from a Vega 64 through an RX 5700 to this RTX 3070, I'm a bit underwhelmed considering what I paid for those GPUs and what the RTX 3070 cost right now.

Its nothing to do with personal view a flagship model is top of the range, the one the company promotes the most and says is the best ever card. Hence flagship as the company is "waving the flag" saying look this is the best we have to offer. For Nvidia at the moment its the 3090 definitely not a 3070.

3070 is around a mid tier card. I even got mine for a "normal" price only £77 above a FE. Going on past releases AIB's are usually upto £200 more than the reference card ignoring the high end ASUS ones etc.

You completely missed the point and it shows to me that Nvidia's marketing has successfully gotten to you. What you call mid tier once was what a flagship would cost and we don't even have to go back more than 2 gens. Anyway, I think I can say with almost 100% certainty that it's a moot point to discuss as Nvidia can clearly do no wrong here and the market has already accepted this new pricing structure.

No you are missing the point, a 1070, a 2070, a 3070 they are mid tier
a 780ti a 980ti, a 1080ti is high tier

cost doesnt come into it I never mentioned cost you never mentioned cost you used the words "flagship performance" nothing to do with supporting nvidia either.

Look up what flagship means.

a 3070 is not a flagship card whether it cost £200 or £800.

Using dollars to try and avoid the effect of exchange rates, the 1080Ti FE launched at $699. Adjusted for inflation that would be $742 today.

The 3070 FE launched at $499. It definitely is not priced like a flagship card.

Maybe I've been brainwashed by Nvidia, but the £519 I paid for mine seems relatively good value for performance that would have cost £1200 only four months ago.

Yeah the 3070 I got for £546 was a good price £77 above FE is about right. In Timespy it beats my 2080ti I had by 1000 points.

Just taken delivery of the 3070 Aorus Master. Honestly think the last time i was on Team Green was back when i had a 8800 BFG. would have probably stayed with AMD, but i upgraded my pc in January - minus the graphics card, waiting for these new cards to come out, just couldn't wait any longer. I've come from a vega 56, i can see the settings for doom have already gone up even in native 4k. Although if im honest i'm gonna sorta 'downgrade/upgrade' to 1440p at higher frames. Got a samsung g7 coming today or tomorrow...hopefully.

Came this morning, looking good so far. Big step up from my Vega 56. Was worried about it being a "lower" quality brand but its very quiet and cool and seems to be a good undervolter.

I uploaded and posted from my phone. The image wasn't showing on my phone browser on the mobile page, but shows up on the desktop version of the site, and also on my laptop.

I don't know of any other way to upload.
