Well I give up - for the past few hours playing Control the GPU maintained 99% usage and didnt drop - no idea why as nothing changed my end.
Just going to stop looking at digits, stop using an OSD and enjoy it instead of mithering over things lol
Probably upgrade my CPU when they are out and call it a day with it - even if its not the issue it wont hurt
Still bloody good cards even if they are on the edge of what they can manage power wise!

I didn’t play Control with a FPS overlay at all times so don’t take this as gospel but I never saw it dip below high 90’s, usually hovering around 110-120.
Warzone fluctuates depending on where I am on the map and I’m capped at 138fps (144Hz monitor) so I don’t see the big highs, FPS could be anywhere from 90s to bouncing off the limiter.
You can test GPU utilisation in COD by cranking the render resolution up to give your GPU more to do and take the CPU bottleneck away. At 150% res my GPU is at 99% pretty much all the time.
Yeah I do plan to increase the render scale next time I run it to see how it performs - But I have stopped using OSD as I get sucked into it and start obsessing about the numbers - it ruins my enjoyment of anything lol
So just ignoring it now and enjoying the uplift over the 2070S it replaced. But as I said last night it seemed to sort itself out and behave. I plan to upgrade the CPU when AMD release the new ones and probaly buy faster RAM - the 3600mhz kit I have is a bit naff - poor CAS of 18 - so would likely see a bump moving to a better latency

I have seen benchmarks where people were getting about 180-200 FPS in downtown on high settings with RAY-TRACING ON however I am getting 140-160 without RT and medium settings for best visibility.
I just dont feel that this is right for my specs...

I am running i7 10700k OC to 5.0Ghz RAM 3200 CL16 and Gigabyte Z490 Gaming X Mobo - PSU 850 Gold - 1440p screen with GSYNC

I’ve watched a few Warzone benchmarks just there and I seen none above 200fps except for being 1080p low settings. Your FPS sounds exactly what it should be.
I was getting 140-160fps tonight on modern warfare with everything up Max and RT on etc. Doesn't seem correct OP getting what he is with medium settings etc.

Just heads up tp MSI Gaming X Trio owners.
On MSI website they have 2 bios one labeled low noise (original) and one labeled low temperature.
I think this card is so quiet it could use a lift in fan speed and still be quiet but have better temps.
The low temp seemed just what I would like, so I tried it, but it seems no different to stock.

ahh sorry. I hadn’t seen the medium bit ! Yeah that doesn’t sound right actually.
Funny thing, I have excatly same FPS on Ultra with RT ON and on LOW settings
Thats so weird CPU usage does not even hit 70% and GPU usage is between 70%-95% In gulag tho it is 99-100% and above 200 FPS.Multiplayer works amazing! Almost 300 FPS, depending on the map.

Seems that the GPU utilisation is hit and miss. Was reading a reddit post about it and there is quite a few people complaining about it in different games. Hoping it's a driver thing, unless it really is a CPU limitation. But seems to affect both AMD and Intel users and people with top chips.
If you are using low setting though perhaps it's down to you not loading the GPU enough and therefore it's scaling back it's usage? What CPU is that with? Overall 70% CPU usage seems a bit high to me?
