The answer to a problem.

My god... that is the best looking cooler I've seen in a long time

And hang on, you can't do Vision Surround with only 2 screens can you?

   I want that cooler

I reckon they sell loads & loads of them coolers if they sell them on there own for other GTX 580 owners to buy...

At 'Very High' settings, you get around 29 fps in Metro 2033 and 25 fps in Crysis.
Set everything to max + 4XMSAA and then report back minimum fps I assure you it will be much more pessimistic picture.

Could one speculate about vram usage in metro in 3D at 1920x1080 8xAA 16xAF?

Afterburner says 1314 MB but it is only 4XMSAA forcing AA in drivers doesn't seem to work for me and 4x is about what the game allows me to set. (and it's unplayable for me on that res and details)

So isn't that even more reason why 1.281/5 GB isn't even for everyone?

Thats a nice looking card! Although I still think I get better acoustic performance from my Dual Noctua NF-B9/VF3000 modded 470 config. Manufacturers seem to think that 22dB is silent hehe. Does anyone else here think Noctua should make 3rd party gpu coolers too?

thanks for that btw so it looks like 1.5GB is enough for that game in 3D 8xAA but just about!i guess metro 2033 might use more so 1.5GB in shared sli would get pants fps and be ram limited, pretty scary thought!

maybe 3gb is slighty overkill then just for 1080p 3D and 16XAA with 2GB being sufficent.3gb it seems is for multiple monitors or 2560x1600 16xAA if that even uses 3GB that is :P probably more like 2.5GB at the extreme?
