The Apprentice 2023

Crikey a lot of that was bad, terrible business plans from most of them, not sure how you can be so bad at things like that without just generally being completely clueless

Also just bursting into tears was a bit pathetic? I'm a pretty easy going manager but jeez get a grip,

As I said before I don't see how much of this is encouraging people to get into business when they make such a mess of it

Might aswell flush £250k down the crapper.
Makes a mockery of an already fantasy show.

I think they initially submit their business plan as part of the original application when nobody expects to get even to the programme, never mind the final interview stage.

You're probably right there and one of the girls said something to give me that thought.
And 30 spelling mistakes over 2 pages, that's outrageous.
Pretty sure if 16 of us here knew we were in the last 16 we'd be taking our business plan to experts to go over before we hit the series.

I wouldn’t let any of these muppets run a bath, let alone a business.

Utterly delusional and all got upset when holes the size of Jupiter were pointed out in their business plans.

Feels trumped facts and basic mathematics every time.

The last two have somehow managed to rise from the bottom of a barrel which should have been chucked overboard before the show started.

It is hight time that Sugar fired himself and went to pasture.

I'd love to know how much the show actually makes, the £250k has got to be easily covered and is just a throw away expense wrapped up in the production costs of the show.

I do wonder how many serious applicants they get with decent business ideas and plans, for them to be discounted because they would throw the balance off and out shine the absoulte idiots with chicken **** business ideas.

After watching this years series I'm left wondering if any of the contestants had watched the previous shows, thinking about the interviews and their terrible presented business plans in particular.
Perhaps the 250k is only going to attract a certain level of credibility, in terms of able candidates who have a decent well thought out plan and present it as such.
Then again maybe part of that selection is based on the probable entertainment value, which is somewhat cringeworthy, rather than their business acumen and ability. From what I have read the 250k was first offered in 2011, changing from a job offer. Worth around £390k today..?
I often wonder how much Alan is aware of their business ideas, as well as the shows overall appeal, beyond that of a credible business partner, when deciding to fire contestants as they fall in the "final three". If the finalist reflected the best of what was available, then it is worse than I imagine.
I would not have thought that it was possible that the overall std of the contestants, and so the show, would get worse as the series as aged. Seventeen seasons so far and it seems more farcical today than it was when first started. Perhaps I'll take a look at the first series, when the pain eases a little.

It is a bit of a farce, they seem a bit clueless. Nobody seemed to 'win' a task, they were just lucky enough not to be as rubbish as the others each week.

The fact they were given a jolly in week 1 is annoying, they should at least have to do something before getting that luxury.

Not sure if I'll watch it again, it's a bit of a pantomime with second rate actors.

The editing has got to play as part as well, it's got to be edited to pick up their "best bits" I can't imagine they are all that bad that much of the time.

It's just boring when they actually do something normal during a task so it hits the cutting floor.

I have not watched this show for ages . How do they pick these people In The first place ? They must just go on tick tick and pick people with the most gastly personality and just pay them to lie about how business like they are

It's 50% screen potential, 49% diversity check list, 1% business acumen.

I only watch it for entertainment purposes too, as the actual business acumen and just general common sense seems to always be lacking in the contestants. Always funny seeing how bad they do.

This season also watched it to keep seeing Marnie as she's ridiculously hot :D
