The bare bones of it!

Hi all

I would like to build a new rig. Having heard this is the place to get the kit I have looked over the site and am none the wiser. I am out of touch with new spec kit and would appreciate some help.

I don't want a gucci case, I don't want cold cathodes or spinning LED's.
What im after is the bits to build a rig that will run Bioshock and the like, without breaking the bank (the 3 kids do that for me!).

So I need a new PSU, MOBO, Chip + cooling, memory and a GC.

Sorry for being a biff but any help would be greatly recieved.

A vision

I have a Samsung 2232BW Syncmaster LCD (22") and am still playing with the resolution but my desk top runs at 1680 - 1050.

As for the budget, I want to play games like Bioshock & Crysis with no problems. I know thats not a lot of help but as I say im well out of date and dont know what to pay for a game rig these days.

may not play crysis without a problem especially if you put graphics to maximum as no GPU can handle it yet.
