hi there i am going to go ahead and build myself a custom watercooling setup.
am i rite in thinking thes are the only parts i will need to cool cpu.

cpu block
120.2 rad
pump
tubing
fans.

or shall i just get the swiftech apex ultra lol

imho one should do some research and visualise what one is going to do. Build it in your head, visualise it working and understand how it all works. Then go buy the bits and do it for real. If you ficj op whilst trying this, it could cost a lot of time, hair and money.

I have read differing opinions on wether one should go custom and get quality parts straight off, or purchase an off the shelf solution. There are advantages to the custom kit, but you will need more smarts happening to get it right first time. With a ready made kit and instruction manual one has to be pretty dumb or clumsy to fail.

I can see myself going water in the not to distant future. But I will fill my head with lots of info and user experience before I start.

good luck :)

You will also need a Reservoir (or T-Line) if not using one.
