Nah the 980Ti - that is the only thing stopping me.

Might not be able to stretch the Internet cable to the shed lol
 
So you will sell the 970 replacement instead of going SLI? Good move IMO. If you can't get both I would definitely get the SWIFT first and then the 980Ti. GSYNC will definitely help smooth out the frame drops which will give you a better experience than what you had with your 780.
 
There's no guarantee I won't get the 780 back, but if I get the 970 as an RMA I will give it to the boy.

Not sure what to do now, I'm tempted to just get a 144hz screen.

Hate making decisions.

I have both the ROG and the 980Ti and have had the 780 :D I would choose the ROG any day of the week. It is an amazing screen and I came from 120hz. Unfortunately it's also bloody expensive.

If your card is also on the blink then freesync may be an option.
 
im on but i wanna try nightmap and i know ill end up playing 15 mins and going back to madmax or witcher 3!

single player games are so goddamn good atm!
 
Enjoyed the night maps this evening, Zavod is a whole lot better like that.

Just need to sort out a decent load out!

Net code seems pretty spot on. Shotguns are still OP.
 
I kinda fill the vehicles ruin the night map. Was happily playing on foot till some **** kept killing me with cannister shell and thermal in Lav. So ended up going tank abit and giving them a few deaths then went back on foot.
Mite try small conquest on it next time. less vehicles

I know, you killed me twice with shotguns. Had to leave the game though as I realised for some reason I had a 200+ ping.

Yup something is ******** with the netcode it isn't just server load the game feels more responsive but was hitting people dead on center mass with 338-Recon and more often than not just getting a puff of dust on them and no hits registering (round was visually hitting but it was a dust spray not blood).

Used to be able to fairly often land a hit on someone parachuting but anyone moving fast vertically now is just completely random if they register hits or not.


EDIT: Change to tracers on the tank gunner's HMG is good though makes it far easier to judge your shots.

EDIT2: Its so hit and miss its ridiculous - jumped on lockers http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/battlereport/show/1/639196914838311040/917377806/ it was ok couple of dropped shots but most registered... then map changed to floodzone http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/battlereport/show/1/639201105967222912/917377806/ over 30% of the 338-Recon shots just did nothing.

Right, need a new mouse, this Logitech G500s is doing the same damn thing my first Logitech mouse did. It randomly loses connection to the PC and all the lights go out and the PC will often make that 'USB device connected' noise. So, new mouse time. I don't need 20 buttons and max £40 although £30 better. I like my mice quite big as well and I'm a righty. Any recommendations? Wired of course.
