Hi Guys,

Currently looking at my options when it comes to my monitor.

I am currently looking for a kvm featured 1440p IPS monitor with at least 8bit colour. I will use the monitor for work and gaming using two seperate computer (PC/MAC) and really want the KVM feature.

My currently options as they cirrent stand are

Dell U3415W
Features two USB up ports and 2+ display ports. Allows you to use one display port with each up port so that the Speakers/Mouse/Keyboard can be shared by the current input device. This makes changing device seamless and allows me to use one mouse and keyboard with both PC/MAC

LG 34UM95
Same as above, both are 3440x1440 but the LG uses thunderbolt as the display port and USB uplink.

between the two I am pushing toward the Dell as I have heard great reviews for this monitor. Both are 3440x1440p but I was wondering if there were any cheaper options out there for a monitor featuring KVM on them.

I would go 4k but the mac will only support 4k at 30fps so thats a no no (Motion Graphics etc)

anyone know of any 2560x1440 monitors with the same features at a lower price, with IPS and 8bit colour?

Any help is much appreciated

There are two uplinks on the dell. You assign each uplink to a certain input. So when you are on the mac for instance it will use usb up 1 and then on the pc it pc it will use usb up 2. Then all you have to do is plug usb 1 into the mac and usb 2 into the pc and use the montior hub to plug in your mouse/keyboard.
