My cousin is looking to upgrade his sound system he is currently using a headset like this http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speakers_audio/headphones/devices/230&cl=gb,en
and his onboard sound.

So should he get a X-fi xtreme gamer sound card or a fatal1ty headset?

Well I aint into headsets, but get a Extreme Music over a Gamer.

Tell him to pickup an audigy 2 zs 2nd hand can be had
for £10-£15 easily on a par with the xfi music.

Audigy 2ZS is buggy POS, even with 3rd party drivers/apps, its no where near as good as a X-FI Extreme Music m8.

It was most complained about card on the Creative forums ever.
