As title really.

My P5K is just a pain in the bum. Don't like it all. Just curious as to what the best sub £100 board out atm is. Havn't been paying much attention tbh. Also note I'm talking UNDER £100 :) I'm not looking to spend money for the sake of it ;)

Could maybe been inclined to spend more, but it would have to be 500fsb board + some decent fetures to make me consider it.

oh oh edit.

Must also have;

Raid
Ideally 6+ SATA ports
Prefer silent heatpipe design
Crossfire compatible would be a bonus.. just incase

E2140 at the moment, but it's soon to be out the window as its a pretty poor L2 jobbie.

Vanilla P5K here. It's fine for everyone I just got a total duff. Dosent OC at all, audio has horrible ringing sound and makes a high pitched whine at high volumes, SATA controller is possibly playing up and so is USB. IDE channel is in the most stupid location possible. Lack of SATA ports. Lack of Raid. Total let down tbh,

It's just a pile of poop! :o

have you tried another CPU, to rule out the rare possibility yours is **** at OCing?

for MB maybe look at the abit IP35, seems to have everything you want.

Oh I know my chip isn't great at overclocking. But my next chip shouldn't be. Anyway - That's the least of my worries!

Yeah looked at that. Curious to see if anything else clocks as well but is a bit cheaper? and maybe with crossfire support?
