Which is the best Graphic's card to buy for mainly gaming. Why i'm asking this question is, this moment in time i'm running; AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2600+; 2048MB RAM PC2700; EVGA NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS Graphic's card and Motherboard is a Gigabyte 7VT600P-RZ.

Planning to buy a ASUS M3N78 Pro Motherboard and a AMD Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition Quad-Core Processor - 2.60 GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, Socket AM2+, 140W, 65 nm and was wondering which is the One of the Best Graphic's Card out (between £400 - £700). Please give advice on both card's Fanned cooling and Liquid Cooling. Thank you.

I may be planning to install a Liquid cooling into the new PC, but have to look into this a bit more.

Best Regards
James

Get 2 ATi Radeon HD4870X2's in Crossfire.

Utterly pointless, obviously, but then so is a £700 graphics card budget so it should suit just fine.

Three GTX's are better! (And over the budget actually ._.)

Dude wait a bit longer for the new deneb phenoms 45nm & just get a single 4870x2 Duel is complete overkill.

Also as for a mobo get the asus M3A79-T Deluxe
tbh I hope your jking about getting the ASUS M3N78 Pro

Water cooling is advisable for the 4870x2 as no aftermarket air cooling is available.

Thank you for all the advice .

If I took away (between £400 - £700) and opened to any amount, what's out there now.

As for the ASUS M3N78 Pro, which I haven't bought yet, was just looking for advice for the best motherboard there is out in the market, any advice would be appreciated. As for INTEL Mothereboards don't won't to know, I'm just intrested in AMD Motherboards. Thank you.

Regards
James

Do not get a 4870x2 if you plan on an amd build there is a review showing they do not scale well with amd processors sounds bad but its true. If you gonna go 4870x2 or crossfire go with a high spec core 2 quad. Not even sure an amd processor could push along 280 sli very well either the review i seen was comparing card for card. It also showed the 4870x2 still gains fps at over 3.6ghz on a quad q6600 where as the gtx280 pretty much shows low gains if any. 1 review said they were still cpu limited on a q9 at 4ghz in 3 games so if you are wanting the best of the 4870x2 you will need a nice overclock and a intel processor. Saying all this you will still be faster with an x2 over a gtx280.

AMD Quad at 3Ghz will be plenty.

Being CPU limited at anything over 60fps is a non issue until 120Hz monitors come out.

2x 4870X2 dont seem to scale that well. Get a 4870X2 and a 1mb 4870 in Crossfire, Or 2xGTX280. You should really wait for the next batch of Deneb Phenoms or go Intel Quad and X48 mobo.
