Hello Guys,

This is officially my first post after having browsed these forums for years.
I have finally decided to post when I found my first conundrum when planning to build my first rig.

As you have probably guessed from the title, I am looking for the best of the best in a case and have come to the only people who I know capable of giving me some good advise.

I have searched through the forums but i have found no posts that have answered my questions.

First of all my case needs to be silver which is my personal preference.

A full tower case for plenty of space and to house my 8800 GTX and water cooling if I ever decide to go that way in the future.

Enough space for larger PSU's such as an Enermax Galaxy.

Enough space for a Tuniq Tower.

The choices I have come up with myself are:-

Silverstone Temjin TJ07
Coolermaster stacker 830 evo
Lian li v2100 +

I feel kinda bad because you guys are forever inundated with these kind of questions.

As you can see I am willing to spend a lot of money and just want to spend it wisely

Thanks :)

The new guy.

Of those 3 I would definetly say the Lian Li. Very good case.

Thanks for your reply.

I was thinking about going for the lian li, but i wondered whether there was enough space for a large cpu cooler??

And there seems to be few reviews online and all dont mention whether the there is ample room for a big psu??

This one is definately my fave in the looks department

I think the v2100 is identical to the v2000 inside, and the v2000 is cheaper.

But its down to looks I guess, which is your choice entirely.

Thanks caeteez, so does anyone here own a v2000 and want to shed any light on whether a big cooler will fit? or any comparisons between its performance and the other cases i have mentioned.

Also I just realised that the lian li is upside down ATX and i hear there is problems with this and heatpipes?

Thanks guys

any particular reason for the TJ-07 over the 09?

I love my 09 but don't like the look of the 07 and don't like the 92mm fans in the back

Stacker 810 picture here, not the most prettiest of cases, but bags of room. It costs considerbly less than the top-end models though

canu get a second fan/bracket for that cooler so one sucks and the other blows

If you mean the Ninja, just get some steel wire and bend it yourself, duplicate the clips that come supplied with the Ninja. But you really don't need another fan, the near case fan draws in the heat that the CPU fan pushes to the back of the case anyway. There are two CM modules installed in that 810, so two 12cm front fans.

V2000 has no problems with any large CPU Heatsinks

I also have the Asus A8N32SLI Deluxe mobo in it and it doesn't seem to be affected by the 'inverted' design.

Also, loads of space for any large PSU in bottom section, as you can remove one of the HDD racks if required, as has been done for my PA120.2 Radiator as below

WOW thanks for all the replies,

I picked the TJ07 over the TJ09 purely because it is bigger and doesnt have that annoying vent on the side panel.

So how would you go about removing the air duct in the v2000+??

What do you guys think about the EVO version of the 830 stacker??

If you guys had a lot of money to spend what would you choose??

Thanks again guys,

The New Guy

The annoying vent in the side is very effective. ;)

If you mean the V2000+ 'Air Duct' over the CPU that is optional fitting - but would not be used if you are using a large air-cooling CPU heatsink.

TBH we can't choose YOUR case for you - as any advice we might give you would be biased based on OUR own choice of case.

You should look for what you need and then see which of the cases available meet YOUR requirements, be they space/style/functionality.

Any of the ones you have already short-listed are all good cases it comes down to personal choice I'm afraid.

:D

Oh I forgot to ask,

Does anyone with a lian li v2100 + want to comment on the sound dampening foam included on the side panels? Also how many fans does this thing hold?
The TJ07 comes with 6 :o

Many many questions, :D

I understand but there is so much choice!!!!

I think I will re-read the reviews and just take a chance.

If anyone can answer any questions for me in the meantime this will be a big help.

Thanks guys
