I am in the process of drawing up a spec for my new PC and i want to know what people think about the current line of processors available..

whats the best money can buy??

(i mainly use my pc for games.. )

Currently X6800, but as a Core2Quad is the same price, i'd wait

true however i thought the quad core wasnt out till early 2007.

What spec have you got at the moment, maybe a small upgrade to that could last you till a few months into next year when amd will be releasing their quad core offering, which will be true quad core.
