The best PSx games in history?

The PSX had everything. The PS3 seems to have nothing in comparison.

Metal Gear Solid
Tomb Raider 1,2,3,4,5
Resident Evil 1,2,3
Crash Banicoot 1,2,3
Micro Machines V3
Gran Turismo 1,2
Quake 2 (may be Quake 1 was on PSX but I didn't own it if it did)
Final Fantasy VI, VII, VIII, IX
Grand Theft Auto 1, London, 2.

The above games, named off the top of my head are way more than the N64 had good games :).

It was such a great game, but I tried playing it again recently and daaaamn has it aged badly. :p Anybody else found this?

Blood Omen : Legacy of Kain (probably my favourite games after ELITE)
Legacy of Kain : Soulreaver
Gran Turismo
Final Fantasy VII
Tomb Raider
Wipeout 2097
Loaded
Castlevania SOTN

I really liked Nightmare Creatures as there was something very Lovecraftian about it :)

Tony Hawks Pro Skater - damn that game was addictive.

edit: just browsing Metacritic at the all time high scores for ps1, so many great gaming memories there :)

It's aged badly in terms of graphics and controls.

i'd still say it's a scary game though. I think the crappiness of the graphics gives all the monsters are subtle ambiguity to their aesthetics. Makes them more horrifying.

I completed SH2 the other day - hasn't aged at all. Still a fantastic game.
