The best ram ?

I don't want to hijack the op thread but can someone tell me if the G.skill ram support the gigabyte z68 mb's? ....as there not listed in the G.skill compatibility list.

What system are you looking at getting or running?

If its a Sandybrdige setup or alike them the Corsair ram below will be more than adequet.

Money is okayish so I am more so looking into the best ram I can get for my money and I do not mind saving my money for longer and paying for the best ram money can buy quality wise.

Value wise kingston hyper x 4gb is cheap atm too

You shouldn't have any problems the G.Skill is pretty slutty and has found its way in most flavours of motherboards without any problems.

The only thing you need to consider is that it's high profile memory which may compromise your cooler - so make sure that your cooler can accomodate the memory's height.

Slight derail but relevant: I have an I5 2400 (a non K chip) so is there any reason to get RAM faster than PC1066 (1333MHz)?

If not, is there a reason why the uber-cheap 8Gb on OCUK at the mo is bad? It has a lifetime warranty!

1600Mhz is generally regarded as the sweetspot for SB systems but having said that the reality is that you wouldn't really notice any discernable speed difference in everyday use between 1333MHz and 1600Mhz.

No reason at all - if it's compatible (and most likely will be) and with a lifetime warranty it's a sensible purchase.

RAM is RAM to a point - most people (myself included) usually buy branded sticks for peace of mind(compatbilty) and ease of rma if a fault develops. Or they just want a new bit of hardware to tinker with or colour match their rig...
