The best RTS ever made

Total annihlation, still got it and c&c 1st decade, almost guarenteed that nobody will have heard of perimeter, very entertaining game infact. Although from the demo, seems that tiberian wars will trump the lot of them :D

Just for you I've installed homeworld 1 and its fine on 64bit. (Love the into :))Cant find my hw2 disk anywhere at the minute...
 
i loved the way the story was told in the Homeworld games, with that deep whuuuuuuuuummmmm as the screen went from 5:4 to letterbox for the sequences and the hand drawn parts and the voice overs. you actually did feel like you were "out there".

Amazing game! I had the demo and played it hundreds of times, then more recently bought it and couldn't get it to work :( :(

Got to be Red Alert, Total Annihilation, Starcraft, Homeworld (wins in terms of beauty) or maybe even Supreme Commander, loving that at the moment.
 
bah, too many to choose from

will say starcraft is NOT a contender for me though, just never enjoyed the way the game flowed as much as others (still good though)

red alert, homeworld, TA and aoe2, they are the games that really define the entire genre for me, dont need any other games than those really, apart from maybe their sequels
