Mine might sound mad, but mine is the "viewsonic VX912, 19" because the build quality was solild, and not all plasicy like most screens nowadays. You must agree they do look dam smart. I have the Hanns-G 27.5" lcd now, but I dont think its a patch on the viewsonic lookwise

i think they look like something from ten years ago mate, theres so many screens out there these days that look stylish were spoilt for choice

My old CRT was brilliant, The colours were just softer/nicer, Don't really know what it was about it but for me flattys are like looking at a framed picture where as my old CRT felt like you fell into the pic  + :p
Can't even remember the make or model now but I know it was the best one out there, Am sure I bought it from M&M an all, Well never sure with my borked head memory. :o

I agree, but the picture quality is usually awful!
So many screens now are advertised as LED, super thing and cool looking but the picture they give is crap!

I like my 24 inch Dell screens. They are bottom end IPS so were well priced but still have a decent picture.

My fw900 CRT fully calibrated with a colormunki meter and its brilliant, when it dies my PC gaming will die along with it (I think)

Acer P223W - got if for Christmas '08 - was the first and only monitor that made me say WOW!
It was probably more-so down to the fact that I was upgrading from a pretty crummy 4:3 Samsung but the Acer was lovely at the time.
Had a string of monitors since and the magic just isn't there anymore :)

Remembered the name of my CRT, I think it was a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro.

ive got a AOC i2757FM on the way so i hope its that :)
hm i do remember how hot crt's got, i wont miss that, and that they weigh more than me

My OcUK Hazro HZ27WC 8-Bit 27" LED Widescreen Professional Monitor - Black

Build quality is shocking but the panel is fantastic and the price was good. £333 plus VAT

Basically the Dell Ultrasharp u2711, but without the horrible anti-glare (which made it look like you were looking through a coat of vaseline)

The Dell U2711 i'm currently using. Calibrated it with a Spyder 4 this weekend and it looks glorious! A worthy replacement for the 2407WFP that i had before.

I prefer my u2711 over my u24

They are both lovely. Wouldn't want any bigger than 27 . cause I'm so close to it

In love with my Asus PB278Q upgraded from a 1080p cheapo £100 TV that run at 29Hz gave awful colour reproduction brightness all over the show blind spots and dead pixels.

Im not a image expert but from the point of a none twitch gamer who is not overly concerned about input lag who just want's a beautiful looking game i know you guys probably could name a lot better panels but hey for me going to this monitor has been amazing.

Iyama (sp?) 21inch crt. It was legendary. Lasted years, everything since has been a disappointment, the coating on the u2711 was too heavy, my u2412m isn't as good as I was hoping. All monitors these days are flawed!

Yeah. like this screen I have now is prob far superior to my viewsonc, but it just feels very plasicy and not as solid as the viewsonic was. But saying that, image quality wise, I cant tell much difference, as they both look as good as each other.

Im guessing the reason you think the viewsonic looks 10yrs old is because its not widescreen
