The best way to create backups of Raid 0 system

Hi I'm looking to raid0 my two 160GB drives. Is it possible to create a full and scheduled backup of a raid install?
Whats the best program or way of doing it and what kind of room would it require? Once I have all my games and junk installed its about 100GB used.

Or would it be better to use raid1 so theres no worry of loosing everything if theres a fault/error?

yea I heard of these floppy disk things, cant find much on google - are they some new high capacity form of dvd? like better then blu-ray??
