The best way to do it?

I've just got a new computer with Windows 10 installed.

I've already managed to install MS Office but before I did I created a restore point "Prior to MS Office".

All went OK.

I then decided to install another program (Mindful) so I created another restore point "Prior to Mindful".

I've now discovered that I would have been better installing an older copy of Mindful and then upgrading so I'd like to remove Mindful.

Would I be better just uninstalling mindful or use the System Restore function?

Is it best to uninstall programs or use the system restore as I believe that even if programs are uninstalled using the uninstall function certain files are left in the registry but a system restore would prevent that from happening?

Thanx

I like to use Revo-uninstaller, first it executes the program/applications uninstaller and after that is complete it scans for leftover files, folders and reg entries.

I think there is a trail/free version if you want to check it out. :)
