The BF4 Restaurant from Sunken Dragon has sunk in a Paracel Storm

It was shut during covid and apparently making big losses, also needed some expensive works done. Quite convenient it sunk in the South China Sea, and making any salvage attempt difficult due to depth. Guess they don't want anyone seeing that huge hole in it.

Indeed, strange how no one was told where it was going hey

Yes, seems it has mysteriously gone the way of many an ailing UK nightclub... Gatecrasher (fire), Bed (flood), Majestyk (fire), Phoenix Club (fire) etc.

Legendary restaurant, I spent many a hazily-remembered afternoon on the top deck at Jumbo devouring the brunch when I lived in Hong Kong

The food wasn't great, but the unlimited bubbly was the undoing of many expats....including me on several occasionans *hic*

Man it hurts to see that place go :( it always made the itinerary when I flew into Hong Kong. Lovely seeing Aberdeen harbour lit up at night with Jumbo being the centre of attention! Why do I get the feeling that other than a insurance jobby, this seems like the CCP's doing? removing aspects of HKs past? Jumbo was a restaurant that fed the rich and the famous so it makes sense that they'd want that history erased.

That was my rocket launcher, I shall never again sleep in pieces :(
