Anyone seen this? Just saw the pilot and the second episode on More 4 and found it hilarious. I dont tend to watch much throw-away TV, but from what Ive seen this is gonna be a good series - I just hope it doesnt get canned or something (cue link to it being cancelled

)

Its basically about a middle aged school teacher finding out she has cancer and is in stage 4 and realises that the life she has led isnt the life she wanted and starts making drastic short-term changes ambivalent to what others around her think of it...

Im ready for the ridicule, but watch an episode before you do

See I cant google anything as no doubt its spoilers - is a 2nd season expected or was it canned and left on a cliche, or did they have enough time to wrap it all up before being canned?

Its like Firefly, as much as I love that series I wont buy it as it just stops (I know about Serenity). Should I just stop watching this too?

Ahh so I can watch it and enjoy it - I tend to always try and check that a series hasnt been canned before I start watching it after Firefly - the US is so fickle :rolleyes:

I'd seen some of the trails for it and not really given it a second thought, but found myself watching last night's episode and getting totally hooked on it. I thought the central performance was fantastic and the other characters seem to be as equally well-written as they are performed.

I'll be sticking this one on series-link as I'll no doubt forget to catch it otherwise!

Just watched this, very good and well acted show

It ended with perfection though and it should be left at that, big shame a second series is on the way

Just saw the latest episode (one where she buys the Mustang) and Ill still enjoying it - its very crude, but its not pretentious and I just enjoy the black humour (even though a lot of it is caused by the characters own stubbornness to keep her illness to herself)

I feel the same. Although I'm sure it's probably a joy to watch, the underlying thread is undeniably dark, and it's a no-go for me.
