The Bike Show Wed @ 9

It wasn't bad, bit all over the place item wise tho, as in, you'de get a brief snippet of one thing, then it'd jump to some thing else etc, not sure what to make of the presenter chappie, tho I envy him having his own personal restorer on tap, I shall watch it again next week & hopefully it'll settle down over time.

I didn't like the way they are fitting in so many different items and chopping between them either, but apart from that it was ok. The fact that there is any TV time given to our anti-social choice of transport is a bonus :D

Henry Coles "World's Greatest Motorcycle Rides" was very good but I find his style of narration a slightly irritating; he seems to put emphasis on the wrong words and it doesn't sound very natural. Only just realised he is the MD of the production company that makes these series.

Nice to see Dougy Lampkin (sp?) on telly though but the show is pretty ****. I can't understand why Charlie speaks like a complete **** when he talks over items but then talks normally at other times, Proper ***** me off though. :p

Have to watch it though as it's bike & what else do we have to watch now the TT has finished.

Prior to the Bike show was a repeat of the Unrideables, Now that was Epic.

Watched part 2 last night, it was a little bit better, really enjoyed the piece on café racers, that old boy with the Triton & the Norton/Vincent etc was well interesting, I would've liked to have seen & heard a lot more about his collection.

Wasn't too keen on the bit about teaching Henry's kids & wife how to ride dirt bikes, that was an ego driven fluff piece that I could quite happily of sacrificed, also, the Triumph restoration piece was a little flawed as well.

Still don't like the format, but i'll look forward to P3, & hopefully things will settle down some more.

Which one is Charlie?

Watched the final episode of the series last night, if theres a second series ive got to say, i'm not going to bother with it, no offence to Henry Cole, but he comes across as being devoid of all character, & the format of the show absolutely stunk. oh and don't get me started on the Bonnevile restoration, what a missed opportunity. all in all, instantly forgetable.

I wish top gear would pick up more bike stuff. Get Guy Martin in as a 4th presenter.

But the bike show itself was pretty poor, although i watched it as its about bikes, but a lacking of sports bike side of things but sports bike riders are the new devils of the road mwahhhaaaaaa:)

Granted, he likes the engineering behind stuff and has a opinion though so maybe not just bikes. Could replace clarkson :)
