I watched it as I saw the first one - what exact bit did you miss?

After the parents refused to commit to the surgery they took him back home - after 2 months he seemed fine, but on one night he was having some trouble sleeping (sat on a chair/sofa asleep) - he was watched by his father during the night (he knew that something was up) and his mother took over during the early morning.

Novemtree woke up a couple of times (at 4am wanting water and at 5am where his mother comforted him to sleep). From what I remember she woke up 7am to make rice porridge for her son and found him dead when she came back - no screams, cries or pain it seems...

The father tried to give mouth to mouth even though it was obvious Novemtree was dead.

A very sad story I have to admit - kinda was moved :(. Surprised I took all that in though

Was that any help?

P.S. Actually missed Buzzcocks for that - well worth it...

I watched it, the previous show was repeated the other day on one of the discovery type channels too. I'm normally quite cold hearted when watching such documentaries, but this one really touched me.

I wonder what would have happened had his parents opted to continue with the operations. The quality of life would have been questionable, and the procedure risky, but it may have prolonged his life. No idea how his parents would have felt making such a decision. Absolutely gutted when they said he'd died. Poor kid:(

Awareness, my dear friend. Awareness.

BB, his parents decided against further ops because the tumor was giving him throat problems and a tracheostomy posed to large a risk of infection, given where he lived. He died in his sleep.

So they didn't go ahead with the operation then? Was that because they couldn't face dealing with respiratory thing for the rest of his life? :( or just because they didn't want to put him through it again?

Thanks ps3udo and the rest of the more serious posters here, considering how serious the thread title is and the impact that this programme had on the people who watched it I'm quite disappointed by the number of unnecessary posts here...

I tried to be civil and disregard some of the comments, but people just don't give up.

If you don't have anything revelant to say - don't post - easy. :)

I watched the previous one on discovery health (or whatever its called now, was on sunday night). Was interesting in a way but a bit of a downer at the end when they said he died.

Reason why he died was due to the tumour regrowing and him getting a respiratory complaint (pneumonia again? Know he had pneumonia when in hospital in Taiwan).

Edit- think it was on normal discovery as I watched it after mythbusters iirc.
